Something we will never know
There are many things in this world that we know for certain and there are other things that have come about either by urban legend or pure speculation. It is the urban legends that have most people guessing on how things got started or where and how they became a major part of the world we live in today.
Take casino games for example. There are many games such as craps and Sic Bo that is said to have their roots in China. They supposedly date way back to days that are so long ago that they are hardly even on the record books anymore. There are stories galore of people playing cards long before the game of poker came about. Perhaps the slot machine’s origin can be dated but other games of chance are left up to the urban legends and the speculators to decide what is truth and it is up to us to decide whether or not we want to believe them. Slots are very popular though - maybe even the most popular thing at the casino. Check out the new casino in Ohio for example.. they plan to have over 2000 slot machines! Wow- that is amazing.
The reality is that the popularity of casino games, especially the online variety, is growing and to most it doesn’t matter where they came from as long as they are easy to learn and most importantly easy to win. So, until the day comes when all will be revealed gamblers everywhere can have a little fun with these legends trying to decide for themselves what is truth and what is just a story passed down for the ages.

Gambling is something that we all can enjoy and if the ancient Chinese are to thank then maybe other games will come along as well.
